Fall: In September the bait begins to migrate south and the stripers eat aggressively again. It is no longer necessary to be on the water at 4 AM. Floating fly lines and poppers are the ticket to exploit the "surface violence". Some large stripers are still here as well as a few blues. During 2005 we averaged well over 50 fish per day during this period. On 9/22 and 9/23, Alan Donald and Fichon Johnson landed a total of 162 stripers!
